Measures & Metrics Workgroup

The Measures & Metrics workgroup (M&M) focuses on providing feedback and support for research issues related to measuring substance use disorder recovery constructs.

Our meetings are informal, and designed for discussion.  All are welcome.  Please reach out to Dr. Craig Henderson (CEH003@SHSU.EDU) and/or Dr. Bettina Hoeppner (bhoeppner@mgh.harvard.edu) to be added to our calendar invite and/or present your topic with questions.

Our typical meeting format is:

  • Announcements (e.g., sharing links, news, helpful tips with each other)

  • Planning (e.g., brief discussions, selecting topics for future meetings)

  • Main topic: main speaker presents work-in-progress and poses questions to the group for feedback; this main topic focuses on a measures-related issue

    • Examples of past works-in-progress:

      • Manuscripts

      • Grant applications (R03, K12)

      • Measurement issues arising in ongoing projects (dissertation, R34)
